Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum is a certified gemologist and founded “Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery” in 2020, remarkedly at the age of just 21, in order to continue her grandmother’s legacy of entrepreneurship, inner strength and female empowerment. As a young girl Sheikha Sana looked up to the elder Sana who started her own businesses in the 1960’s, was an avid jewellery collector and left a legacy of community-support and love.
Continuing in the legacy of strong female leadership in her family, from her ever-supportive mother as well as her hardworking grandmother, Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum, knew that she wanted to carve her own path in this world, based on her unique interests and passions.
Over the years, she found herself collecting vintage jewellery books and spending hours pouring over the intricate pieces designed by jewellers past and present. Her passion led her to pursue diplomas in Jewellery Design and Diamond Grading from both the Gemological Institute of America and the International Gemological Institute. After completing her diplomas she embarked on a journey to launch Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery with a clear vision to create a line designed to help women feel emboldened while still highlighting their emotional side.
Her vision is to create beautiful, high quality jewellery pieces that empower women to look and feel their very best. Her style is ethereal, feminine, and thoroughly modern.
